Kitchenaid Refrigerator Not Making Ice

Model Number: KSRG25FKSS04 , this refrigerator cooled fine, but the ice maker no longer made ice. I took a quick look at the ice maker itself and noticed the stripper fingers were not in their home position (facing forward and pointing a little up) but were loose and I could move them with my hand. This told me the the drive gear had broken, and that without an intact gear on the end of the module, this ice maker wasn't going to work at all. Removed the assembly from the freezer section and installed a new module to the end of the ice maker (only three screws). Once again, ice is being made in this freezer.
