Amana Front load washer NFW7200TW

How do you troubleshoot a dead board?   >:(

Have checked and there is power to the board at CN5 pin #1 and #3.  There is also power through the transformer, CN6 pin #1 to CN5 pin #1.

Fuse on control board is good.

Could be the switch just isn't working, but don't see how you could even check that!!!  Don't really want to spend $250.00 to find out it isn't the board?  What else could cause a no light, dead board condition?

I can understand that, but keep in mind any parts purchase through our site from RepairClinic.com or AppliancePartsPros.com can be returned for any reason for up to 365 days. Even electronic parts that you had installed. No harm in buying and trying.

As far as I know, it just quit working.  The lights went out and you can't power it on.  Everything LOOKS to be in good shape other than that.  I got it from a friend who didn't want to mess with it.

I would change the board,  worth 250.00 to spend, it has to be the problem, buy it from RepairClinic.com , its returnable.

Put unit in test/service mode. Check for stored fault codes. There's a lot of troubling shooting information in your service manual. When all else fails, that sounds like a pretty good deal where you can get a money back guarantee on such apart.

Check in the area of where your door latches. Look for a pretruding button that may have broken off. You can see it it the part pic. I've seen this happen.

@ AJ & BigBuck:  I didn't know I could return the part, so that may be the only way to do this.   Most dealings I have had with electronic parts was once you installed it, it was yours.   :-\

@ HaroldsAppliance:  It has a "dead board" no lights, no nothing.  I can't go into test/service mode, so unable to see any codes (if there are any).  I did ohm out the door switch and all that, it checked good.

Thanks all for suggestions and assitance.  Will have to check into getting a board and see what happens.   Only fear I have is:  What cause board to stop working?  If I plug in another board, what are the chances the cause of the problem will blow that board also?  Anything I should or could check prior to making the swap?

That's the way it is with most places you get parts from, but not our two parts affiliates RepairClinic.com and AppliancePartsProsO0

I would guess a part on the board simply failed and nothing else other then maybe a power surge would have damaged the board.

Let us know what you decide to do with it.
