dishwasher runs with door open

Jenn-Air Dishwasher
Mod# jdb1100aws
Our dishwasher runs when the door is open or closed. Select the start button and the dishwasher begins running before the door is closed. Open the door while its running, the dishwasher will continue running. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Door latch bad, replace with part # 1550176 @ repairclinic.com.
