Manitowoc ice machine

Manitowoc ice machine md # jd0452a. Replacing Magnetic bin switch # 2301483. don't work on a lot of ice machines. Is this an easy switch out? Thanks.

Thanks JW. There is some very good information that I downloaded, but nothing on changing the switch. There really can't be to much to it. I just like always being prepared.

You talking about the ice level switch?

Not the ice thickness switch, but magnetic bin switch. When the ice dumps out at harvest the  curtain door (flap) opens for the ice to fall out, thus momentarily breaking contact. It also stops ice production when bin is full by holding the curtain door  up like the wire sensing arm on a wpl ice maker would.

Follow up. Switch installed appr 10 minutes. Piece of cake. Pops right out with small scew driver. Machine working.I considered this to be a high priority emergency call, as this is my favorite local bar and it's the very ice that keeps my bud lite cold. This post is making me thirsty.
