2005 Chrysler Pacifica Air Conditioning Repair

(1/1)

AJ:
I don't work on auto air conditioning systems so when my wife said the air conditioning in her 2005 Chrysler Pacifica was not working that great I had the dealership check it out.

I was told by the dealer that the AC was working fine and they could not find anything wrong with it.

Well it was working but it just did not seem to work as good as it should. In this heat wave we have been having for the last few weeks it was easy to tell that the AC in my wife's car just did not work as good as the AC in our other vehicles.

So I was doing a little research online and found this video.

Our old filter was so plugged up I don't know how any air got through it. I replaced the filter with a new one and the AC works so much better now.

I guess not all vehicles have a cabin filter as our other two don't have them.

JWWebster:
Wow. They didn't know at the shop that it had this filter? Strange. Did you wash it out or simply remove the crap? Looks like a paper filter.

AJ:
I replaced it with a new one.

JWWebster:
Even betta!
