« on: July 12, 2012, 09:19:00 AM »
Hi, I have a Amana Top Loader# ALW780QAW. I replaced Pump & Drive belt. Found Belt broke. Cleaned up everything put light oil on Drive idler pulley. reinstalled New belt & pump. Fills & agitates fine. But will not pump out water or go into spin cycle. Observed with flashlight Looks like on Motor pulley & Drum Pulley slipping any Ideas? Thank you :(

Hi,

Maybe you have something caught between the tub and basket keeping it from spinning.
Open the lid and feel around the top edge of the tub to see if you can feel anything caught.

Could also be bad tub bearings.

If the motor is running during the drain and spin cycle the lid switch should be ok.

Got the belt routed right? I have screwed that up and had others bring that to me when they replace the pump. It is easy to screw up:
