Cothes get caught in dryer and get damaged
« on: July 11, 2012, 07:26:37 AM »
Sometimes our clothes get caught in the front of our dryer, model GLER341CDC0.
Do you know why this happens? Is this something I can fix myself?

The drum rides on plastic and felt. You need to inspect and see if the plastic or the felt is worn down to the point is can harm the clothes. Some models have 3 plastic glides that the drum rides on. Other models have a thick felt piece the drum rides on with the plastic mounted inside the drum which is better in my opinion. To inspect you pop the top. Then unplug the controls and remove the front. Then release the idler and lift the drum out.

Your model looks like the new style JW posted the video for.

Your model uses upper felt seal part # 5303937182

and drum glide part # 131963900
