Jenn-air JED8430 service manual

Hi,

  I am looking for service manual to replace the glass top of the Jenn-air JED8430 that is broken. Searched on the forum and cannot exactly locate that. Can someone help? I understand that Maytag made a similar model, that's why I am asking on this forum. Thanks for the help.

When I search the Maytag database for your model number it only comes up with a service manual that has these model numbers on the cover.

That service manual only says this about the top.

Main Top Removal

1. Disconnect power to cooktop.

2 Remove cooktop from installation position and place
face down on protected surface.

3. Remove screws securing main top to burner box
bottom.

4. Remove screws securing control panel box and
conduit mounting plate to burner box assembly.

5. Remove main top.

6. Reverse procedure to reassemble, verifying that
cooktop frame is properly aligned.

NOTE: Make sure the pieces of insulation, located in the
front left and right rear corners, are put back in
place. Failure to do so could create excessive
cabinet temperatures.

  Thanks for the reply.

  I am looking for the instructions preferably with diagrams with which parts and screws to remove. I understand that there is a DVD collection on this website which has the manual I need (16023537 Maytag Jenn-Air JEC05 Fully Electronic Radiant Cooktops.pdf) but I do not need the entire collection, just this particular manual. I do not mind paying a reasonable fee for just this manual.

Could you post the full model number for us?

The model number you posted is missing a few digits at the end.

The full model number can be found on the model/serial number tag that is located on the cooktop. It maybe hard to find or see the tag until you remove the cooktop from the counter.
