Customer called and said she used be able to replace the water filter and then press the button for 3 seconds at the dispenser area and the light would turn from red to green. She was told if it didn't work to remove and reinstall the water filter. She tried that but the light goes from red to "no light". I briefly looked at it and explained it was possible that this worked like some filter alarms on thermostats. Resetting the water filter status starts a timer and makes the red light come on after say 90 days(or whatever it really is) Replacing the filter then resetting the timer just sets it back at "green". Is this the way it is or is there something in the filter that sends a signal to the light. I looked at the diagram and there doesn't appear to be any wires at the filter. Not sure but I would doubt there is a pressure switch that senses reduced water pressure through the filter and turns on the light, but maybe there is.
Any advice would be helpful to this little old lady.
Thanks
