Whirlpool Gold Dishwasher GU1200XTLT3 Not filling with water

My dishwasher is not filling with water when its turned on.
What should I check for?

Check the float inside to make sure it can move up and down freely and is not stuck in the up position.
If the float seems ok the next thing to check would be the water inlet valve.
You could check to see if the valve is getting power during the fill cycle and/or check it for continuity with a multimeter.
