Who likes a challenge

I have a Fridgidaire side by side FRS6R4EB7 that is not getting cold.Here is what i have, Both fans are working,the compressor is working and sounds good,but the evaporator coil behind the freezer back wall only gets cold for the first 3 inches at the top with white ice crystals forming on those 3 inches and the rest of the coil staying at room temp.After a couple of hours I turn the machine off,let the crystals melt,try again
,but the same thing happens.I welcome any ideas,thanks

Probably internal leak or capillary tube is blocked.

Might be in need of a boost in freon. Where was it manufactured?

I'm sorry i don't have any way of testing the pressure.If it was a blocked capillary tube,is this something i can fix myself?The fridge was manufactured in Mexico.

niobrara,all i have at home is a multimeter,is there a way to test with just this.

Sealed system leak or capillary tube block, either way it's not what I would call a easy DIY repair.
Just my 2 cents.
