So the title pretty much explains it. The drum in my washer spins while the agitator is running. This is causing the clothes to be spun around the agitator rather than actually being agitated over each other like it is suppose to do. I've done a lot of research and found that this could be a couple of things. Mainly either the transmission is going bad or the brake assembly needs replaced. I was just hoping to get a little feedback as to which one it actually is and what I need to buy to fix the problem. I don't want to buy a brand new transmission and find out that the only thing that needs to be changed is the brake assembly or simply the brake pads. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
