GE Profile Self Diagnostics problem

Hi,
I have a GE Profile side by side refrigerator and it has been experiencing defrost problems. I have found the service manual and following the troubleshooting I have tried to execute some diagnostics.
The problem is when I try to enter Self Diagnostic Mode, I set the freezer and refrigerator temperature settings to 5, and when I press and hold simultaneously  all 4 temperature adjustment buttons for approximately 3 second, nothing happens. The only one thing that could happen is that one of the indicators go up or down, but it do not enters in diagnostic mode. I have tried  lot of times, also starting from completely power off the refrigerator, but nothing happens.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance.

The model number that appears in th inside label is PCG23MIMHFWW

Some of the GE profiles (like mine) do not have  a way to actuate diagnostics. In other words not all of the products have this ability built in to the mainboard. So just have to ignore all of the automated diagnostics in the manual and figure it out it the old fashioned way!

Look for frost on the back side of the service panel. That is a sign of a defrost problem with the heater/ and termination thermostat. You can check the heater and bi-metal from the control board.
