changing the drain hose on a sub zero 500 series

This should be fun.  I like many of you get most of my jobs through warranty companies.  Well this one customer had a broken drain hose on the fridge side of his subzero.  A new drain hose was ordered.  But I'm looking at the tear-down of the fridge, and this thing looks impossible to change.  Is there any other way to fix this?  Any tips?  Am I really going to have to pull a Sub out tomorrow and jack it up so I can get under it?


  Boy I have this and I have to change the door seal on a frigidaire front load washer.  tomorrow should be fun.  At least 130 miles of driving to boot.

From what I remember the hose goes down the back wall through the rear and into the drain pan. Where is it broken? I would hope you could splice it in the refrigerator section. You may have to pull the unit out if not.

Don't mean to be rude, but you are correct.
Repair questions should be asked in one of the repair boards.

This board "Service Calls" is a place for technicians to share information on repairs they have already made.

I also don't have any experience with sub zero so I left the topic for someone else with some experience with the brand to answer.

Anyway we don't alway have all the answers, so feel free to help us out by posting a update as to how the repair goes.
Maybe you will have some tips to share with us.

The job went well.  Rather than replace I got a discharge hose for a icemaker(standalone unit) and used adapters to get the job done.  It turned out good and the customer is happy with the price savings, and the speed of the repair.  And I am happy not having to take an installed sub zero out.


  It worked out well.  Now if only I could figure out this GE spacemaker 1300xl microwave.  Ah the life of an appliance repairman.  They expcet us to have all the answers.
