I had to replace the bi-metal thermal cutoff (TCO) on this machine.
The part is FSP W10258275 and comes with the TCO, a harness assembly(with terminal block), and mini zip ties.
The instruction sheet says to cut the existing harness wires and substitute the new harness assembly and then to attach the TCO. However the existing harness wire and the terminals attached to those wires fits the spade connectors on the TCO so why not just attach the wires to the TCO and reinstall the TCO on the control housing. Why do you need to cut and splice the wires? Wouldn't that make for a weaker connection?
