Washer operates normally with one exception. It will not do a high-speed spin. My thoughts are that it might be either the door lock or pressure tube sensor, but I don't know how to test either with a meter. Both the control board and motor are new because I was in a hurry and called a repairman and that's what he said needed to be replaced. Originally, I wasn't going to replace them and just ditch the unit, but decided to do so myself in the end. Expensive and didn't fix problem. Wonder what would have happened if I had hired repairman and he replaced them. lol

Anyway, it might be helpful to know that I am a very capable repair person, but I am not a formally trained in appliance repairs. I have pretty good understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanics. I do have an ohms meter and know how to operate, but I don't have a spec sheet (missing from inside unit) or a repair manual.

Thanks in advance for your help.

GE WSXH208 built by Frigidaire ...
When it's in the Spin cycle, is the Door locked ?
Is it really locked ?
If so, then un-plug the Washer Power Cord from the Wall Outlet.
Can you then open the Door eright away (bad)
OR only after a few minutes (good)
After leaving this Earth, "Do you want the smoking or non-smoking section?"

As you suggested, as soon as you unplug the washer, the door will open. There is no delay between unplugging and the door lock releasing. Does this mean the door lock mechanism is bad?

There is a device called a wax motor in the latch assembly. It has a heater in it that heats a small amount of wax. As the wax expands
it pushes a prong out one end. This trips a switch. When power to the wax motor is cut off, it takes a minute for the wax to cool off
and retract the prong. If you can open the door right away then the wax motor must not be working.

Do your wallet a favor and order the 131763202 instead.  It's the same part.

Thanks so much for the explanation regarding the wax in the door latch. That makes complete sense. I like to know how things work and I was puzzled by how it could be locking, but technically not working. Now I understand.

Also want to thank the other user for the part #131763202 tip. That's a great tip as well.
