freezer door water line replacement

I have a customer with a Sears Kenmore refrigerator made by LG.  Model No: 795.77562600, Serial No: 608KR00230, mfg date: 08/2006.  They moved the refrigerator without disconnecting the water line to the left fresh food door, they took off the door to move it and broke the water line where it enters the top of the door.  I ordered the replacement water line from LG, part # #5210JA3005W


The icemaker, icebin & crusher assembly all mount on the left refrigerator door behind a door. This refrigerator is a french door model with freezer on the bottom.  I took off the bin, icemaker & crusher assembly from the door but cannot see how to replace the water line. It appears the doors are foamed together and do not appear to come apart.  The door gasket just pushes in a slot around the edge.  Does anybody know if the water line can be replaced on this model or are we looking at replacing the complete door assembly.  Thank you for your help!

Thank you all for reading this.  Too bad I have not gotten any responses yet.  Does anyone out there know where I might get a Sears service manual on this model.  Maybe they might have a answer to how to replace the water line in the door if it is able to be done.  Thanks again everyone!

Does anybody know if the water line can be replaced on this model or are we looking at replacing the complete door assembly. 

Not sure on how this LG model is, but seem odd that you would be able to order a replacement part if it was not meant to be replaced.


In other brands of foamed in doors they have another tube inside the door that you feed the water lines through when you need to replace them.

AJ is correct you have to replace the door.
