MAH21 Leaking from front of tub

I hope that soon i will be able to contribute to this forum instead of just taking.  On that note - I need more help.

I am working on another MAH21.  This one leaks from a small hole near the bottom of the tub front.  Nothing visible is amiss.  No leaking hoses, seems to function fine - except for the large leak.  Keeps leaking until the tub is drained.  I have never had a tub out so I am unsure what failure gets water into that part of the tub.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would have taken that cover off and looked at the back side of it, part # 22004254


Maybe something rubbed a hole through the back side of it.
Guessing you will have to replace the cover if it's leaking through it.

I've seen this happen to me once before, I personally took the front off and epoxy'd this hole. I believe Maytag used this cover for a number of front end loaders with drain holes, this particular one didn't have a hose connected. It also was worn through on the inside of the tub from coins. I don't see any reason why you can't just plug it or fill it with epoxy, it seemed to work for me with no call backs!
