LG Dryer DLE8377 Unidentified Part?
« on: May 29, 2012, 08:57:02 AM »
Can someone help me identify this part? My dryer (LG DLE8377) stopped working, and I've checked all the usual suspects (thermal limiter, themrostat, thermistor) and everything seems to be fine. When I unplug this device, the dryer will start and run, but if I plug it back in, it shuts down.

I don't want to run the dryer with critical pieces missing, but I cannot find any info on this so I can replace it.

Any help is appreciated!

LG Dryer Filter Assembly Part # 6201EC3002A

I notice the part number on the part shown in your photos.

Seems to be some kind of electronic filter. Probably used to keep electrical interference out of the rest of the electronics used in the dryer.
Hope you find our site helpful.

Thank you very much! I didn't see it when I pulled up the service manual, but I guess it was right in front of my face.

No problem, cheap enough part.
You going to replace the part or run it without?

Since it's so cheap, I'll probably go ahead and replace it. Thanks again for your help.
