whirlpool washer model LSR9434PQ0 won't agitate or spin

It fills and drains fine, but it won't agitate or spin.  It 'hums' like it is trying to agitate or spin, but that is all.  Any suggestions on what could be wrong and how to fix it?  Thanks!!  JHuffman

I guess anything is possible JW, but they did say "drains fine".
I would think that if something was so wrapped up in the pump that it would keep the washer from agitating or spinning it would also keep it from draining.


My money is still on the coupler.
