WCVH6800J - Just Beeps

Just replaced my control panel which was causing me problems.  Not sure if I got a replacement control unit, the new unit only beeps when powering it on and pressing any buttons.  I don't have any lights or numbers on the display...

Should add this is a GE front load washer you are talking about.

What kind of problem did you have with the control panel that you felt it needed to be replaced?
What is the part number on the new one you installed?

Doh!  I had the door open on the washer when I powered it on.  I closed the door and the door locked and the display showed "---" which allowed me to set the washer type.  Happy now!   My first DYI appliance repair!!

The original display was flaky. Buttons didn't always work.

Yes that's the one.  Washing our first load with the new panel.  Butttons all working perfect!
