Maytag gas dryer does not always heat

After I start the dryer I hear a click sound and see the coil inside starts to glow. Maybe 10 seconds later I hear a click again and then the glowing shuts off. It never heats up to dry the clothes.

Replace the coils, 279834

That means your ignitor and flame sensor is working AND your fuse is fine. The only other items in the assembly are the solenoids. As TG suggested replace them and all should be well!
