Samsung DMR78 Dishwasher - 5E error

I received a email today that included information about a Samsung dishwasher that I wanted to share in our forum.
So with permission from the person that sent it to me I have copied and pasted it below.

Samsung DMR78.  It threw a 5E error three months after we bought it (it's 9 months old now).  Not covered by warranty as the technician found white plastic pieces in the pump.  No idea where the plastic pieces came from.  $175. 

Yesterday, at the 9 month mark, it threw the 5E code again.  Downloaded the manual (thanks!) and ran test T5 (fill/drain) and immediately (repeatedly) got the 5E error.  Took the washer out from under the counter-top and found that the drain hose had a bad kink (from the repair guy that charged us $175).  Took the slack out of the drain hose so it wouldn't kink again and now the unit works fine.

There are plenty of folks on the internet with the same problem.  But I expect you already knew that.
