Replacing Front Load Washer Pump Model#LHW0050PQ

I have to replace the pump on a Whirlpool front load washer, model number LHW050PQ, but am unsure on how to disconnect the door bellows(gasket). The washer appears to be a Frigidaire style and the gray rubber door gasket does not appear to have a wire ring holding it to the front, like the Duet washers do. Is this gasket simply very tight or is it glued on? I am unsure on whether I should carefully pry loose wth a small screw driver and should I glue it when I put it back on? Does anyone have a link to the manual?

Hi,

You are short one number in your model number, but looking at one of the diagrams here, LHW050PQ it shows a clamp for the back and the front of the door bellow, part # 8182403

Ok, I found the service manual.

Thought we had it online, but was using the model number you posted to search for it.
Seems you are missing more then just a digit at the end of your model number.


The model number in the topic title is missing a number at the end, but the model number you posted in the topic is just all wrong.

There's no need to remove the door boot and the door. The drain pump on this washer is replaced by removing the rear panel. After you remove the panel, tip the washer forward for easier access to the pump.
