LG F/L WASHER , tightening the screw rotor

Hi: The screw that holds the rotor comes loose often, I wonder if I can put a pressure washer or star washer between the screw and the rotor without affecting the operation of the rotor? , I've also seen a video of Repair Clinic screw that you put a paste or glue red, someone knows it? or someone has a suggestion that the screw does not loosen? thanks

OK here comes the fun !!
I put the rotor, the bolt with thread lock and excellent , the washer starts to work no more LE code!!
After 2 or 3 minutes guess what!!!   the bolt was castrated!!!! holycows !!!
I spend some time extracting the &^%*(*&&  piece of the bolt that was left into the shaft.

I put other bolt same size and finally its working again except that.....now the motor is making an strange noise, i already check that rotor be seated perfectly on the shaft and over the stator, I removed and put it again and again and it makes noise.

Do we need use a torque to tight this screw? what pressure? Do we need put threadlock and let 24 hours for cure? IT looks uneven!!! am I seen wrong? I never put the rotor on unsafe place, and never fall down how is this possible? It look to me too heavy all the weight of the wet clothes resting in a poor bolt! what do you think ? welcome any advice, and i do not wish to any of you this nightmare.

Reminds me of the time I did the brakes on my Taurus. Dude I would use a lock washer.

Check the *splines* on the ROTOR---in many cases they're stripped and a new ROTOR is needed.

Lock-washers should not be used. The 17 mm bolt has a large flat washer on it to apply clamping force against the ROTOR when tightened.

This particular symptom is often found on a single model of LG washer built during a six month period (approximately) in 2008.

That washer model is: WM0642xx
