22002922 Maytag Washer Spring Tool

This is the tool used to remove the tube/base springs from some maytag top load washer.

This tools is not necessary to remove the springs, but it sure makes the job a lot easier.

I have found it a lot harder to get the springs back on without this tool then it is to get them off.

If you don’t have this tool available to you here is a little trick I learned.

Once you have one spring off you can use that spring to aid you in the removal and installation of the other springs.

Simply place the hook of the spring you removed into the hook of the spring you want to install or remove and pull up.
