Last week I told you about a website called the Maytag Service Library were you could download free service manuals for your Maytag appliances!

That’s a great resource if you have Maytag appliances, but what if you have LG appliances?

As luck would have it I just happen to know about a website called LG CS Academy Appliances were you can download free service manuals for your LG appliances.

Once you view the site you simply click on the type of LG appliance you have and then the model number of your LG appliance.

The next page you will see has a list of downloads for your LG appliance that included Spec Sheets, Owners Manuals, Service Manuals, Exploded Views, Warranties, Installation Guides & Dimensions.

Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve and Float Switch

The dishwasher fill system consists of the water fill valve and a float safety switch.

Power from the control is applied to the water fill valve through the float safety.

The water valve is an electrically operated shut off valve with a flow washer that regulates the amount of water based on the water pressure applied to the valve inlet.

Water pressure needs to be between 20 and 120 psi for the dishwasher to have the proper amount of water for operation.

The float safety switch will shut off power to the valve if the tub over fills with water.

Water enters the tub through an air gap mounted to the left side of the tub.
