Dishwasher Heater

The heater mounted in the bottom of the dishwasher tub increases water temperature, then in the dry cycle assist in drying the dishes.

The amperage draw of the heater can vary depending on the job it is to perform.

When heating water, the amperage draw can be around 900 watts. This amperage will drop to approximately 700 watts in the dry cycle.

Mounted next to the heater on the under side of the tub is a safety thermostat. This thermostat will open if the temperature in the tub gets to hot.
